SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern the text messaging program operated by JoinCPR. JoinCPR is software that training providers ("Businesses") use to schedule CPR, First Aid and similar classes and register students. When a Business turns on text reminders, JoinCPR sends automated text messages on that Business's behalf from (224) 803-3182. By opting in you agree to these terms.

1. Program description

• A reminder before a class you have registered for, with the class name, date, time and location, and the Business's name so you know who to contact.
• If you joined a class waitlist and asked to be texted, one message when a seat opens up.

These are transactional, informational messages about a class you registered for. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. This program does not involve affiliate marketing, lead generation or any third-party marketing.

2. How you opt in

You give consent directly to the Business running your class, and you only receive texts if you actively agree. The consent box is unchecked by default in every place it appears:

• Class registration. On a Business's class registration page you can enter a mobile number and tick "Text me a reminder before my class".
• Waitlist. When joining a full class's waitlist you can tick "Also text me when a spot opens up".
• Your account. Students with a login can tick or untick "Send me text message reminders about my classes" under My Account at any time.

Next to each box you will see this disclosure: "By checking this box you agree to receive automated text messages about your class registration from [Business], sent through JoinCPR. Message frequency varies (about 1 message per class). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help." Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of registering for or attending a class.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies with how many classes you register for. Typically you receive one message per class.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. JoinCPR and the Business do not charge for text messages.

5. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one confirmation text and no further messages. You can also untick the reminder box under My Account, or ask the Business to update your preference. To start again, reply START or tick the box under My Account.

6. Help and support

Reply HELP to any message for help, contact the Business that runs your class, or email [email protected].

7. Carriers

Messages are sent to US mobile numbers on major carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and their affiliated networks. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to network availability.

8. Privacy and your mobile information

Your phone number and your SMS consent are used only to send the messages described here. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, sold, rented or transferred. 9. Changes

We may update these terms and will post the new date above. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
